Police opens blank fire in Mahottarai

By Rabindra Upreti, Bardibas, April 24: Police shot nine rounds of blank fire in the Mahottarai district this afternoon.

The incident took place at Malhaniya Pokhari village in Gaushala Municipality-4 during a clash between the police and the protestors.

Lekhnath Khanal, Superintendent of Police of the Armed Police Force, said that 13 cells of tear gas were also fired to control the situation.

He said that APF fired four rounds in the air after the riot.
