Former minister Pun's mother injured in gunshot

Kathmandu, April 15: Tirthamali Pun, the mother of former minister Barshaman Pun, has been injured in a gunshot at Gauridhara in Kathmandu district on Friday night.     

The incident took place when a pistol carried by assistant constable Prakash Pun Magar got fired accidentally, said Chief of the Kathmandu Valley Police Office, Additional Inspector General Shyamlal Gyawali.     

Prakash is the grandson of Tirthamali in relation. It is said that Prakash had gone there to celebrate Nepali New Year 2080.     

Police have started an investigation into the case by bringing Prakash under control. Similarly, Tirthamali is undergoing treatment at Trauma Centre in Kathmandu. Prakash is working as the security guard of Acting Chief Justice Hari Krishna Karki. (RSS)
