By Govinda Sharma,Banke, Apr. 14: Preparation for the reconstruction of the only temple with the idol of Junge (mustached) Mahadev standing in the famous Bageshwari Temple complex in Ward No. 2 of Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City, in Banke district, has begun.

After Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City allocated Rs. 20 million for the reconstruction of the temple, bidding has been opened for its reconstruction.

The temple with the statue of Junge Mahadev is in the middle of a pond.

The water of the lake has been dried up for the reconstruction of the temple. Only the entrance and the worshipping area would be widened by keeping the temple and idols in their original places.

Prashant Bista, Mayor of Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City, informed that the reconstruction would be completed in a year.

The sub-metropolis is going to construct a new temporary route to reach the entrance of the temple, he said.

"Now the road to the temple will be widened," Mayor Bista said.

The temple with the idol of rare mustached Mahadev is a favourite shrine for Hindu pilgrims. This is the only temple where such an idol is placed.
