12: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has dismissed Dhaka Kumar Shrestha from
party's general membership and Shrestha's position of a member of the House of
Representatives (HoR).
A meeting of the central committee
of the party held on Wednesday evening made a decision to this effect.
At a press meet after the
meeting, Ravi Lamichhane, RSP president, informed about the party's action
against Shrestha and decision to recommend Bindbasini Kansakar as the HoR
member.
Lamichhane said that Shrestha
was dismissed from the party as per the recommendation of the committee of the
party's discipline and conduct that found that Shrestha was involved in
activities against the party statute.
Earlier today, Shrestha had claimed
that the party was attacked through the audio tape in which he is heard of
asking for Rs. 20 million from medical entrepreneur Durga Parasai.
The audio was recorded some
months ago, and the RSP initiated investigation after the audio came to the
public a couple of days ago.
