By Our Correspondent,Sindhupalchowk, Apr. 12: The Tatopani border crossing has been closed for a week. Ramesh Neupane, Chief District Officer of Sindhupalchowk, said that the Chinese side had informed Nepal that the border would be closed for seven days.
"We have been told that they are carrying out construction works," he said.
According to the District Administration Office, China is reconstructing roads, buildings and other structures in the region, including in Khasa and Nyalam.
On March 29, the governments of Nepal and China had agreed to fully open Tatopani for import and export from May 1.
