TRN Online, Kathmandu, Feb 12: The government has
announced a public holiday for February 13 to mark the People's War Day.
A meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Sunday
made the decision.
The Cabinet decided to observe the PW Day considering
the contribution the PW made to the political change in Nepal.
The then CPN (Maoist) had started the PW against the state on February 13, 1996 which ended with the comprehensive peace accord on November 20, 2006.
Earlier, the Bagmati provincial government had decided to mark the PW Day.
