Kathmandu, Jan 4: The major opposition in federal parliament, Nepali Congress, has said it was closely observing the political scenario coupled with the departure of Rabi Lamichhane as Home Minister and its repercussion.

After the meeting of the top leaders of opposition parties at NC's parliamentary office, Singha Durbar, today, NC Chief Whip Ramesh Lekhak said his party had kept recent political development in close observation.

The ideological debate had surfaced among the political parties in the government on whom to make the new home minister. It has also emerged in the parliament, he added.

Similarly, CPN (Unified Socialist), Madhav Kumar Nepal, said, "Now, we closely wait and see. After some time, we'll comment."
