Jumla MPs draw attention of ministers

By Our Correspondent,Jumla, Jan. 20:  The newly elected members of parliament (MPs) from Jumla have given suggestions to the minister of federal parliament regarding the problems related to the development and construction to be done immediately in Jumla.

MPs Binita Kathayat and Chhiring Lyamu Lama Tamang said that they had discussed the problems of the district with two Deputy Prime Ministers and Minister for Home Affairs Rabi Lamichhane and Minister of Physical Infrastructure and Transport Management Narayan Kaji Shrestha regarding the local level problems of Jumla.

On behalf of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, MP Kathayat briefed about the problems of the district and the work to be done in the district.

MP Kathayat, who has been elected to the House of Representatives under the proportional representation (PR) category, informed that after she became an MP, she returned to the district and submitted the suggestions from citizens and concerned bodies to the ministers. 

She said that the district monitoring report prepared by collecting various problems, advices and suggestions of Jumla district was discussed with the DPMs.

MP Kathayaat informed the Home Minister about the absence of the office heads of various offices in Jumla district, increasing vacancy of Nepal Police, upgrading the Narakot Police Station in Sinja and controlling the use of drugs and domestic alcohol in the district.

Likewise, MP Tamang met with the Minister for Physical Infrastructure and discussed the issue of transport service of the district and gave suggestions for various works, including the construction of the office of the road division, shortage of employees, the budget for the reconstruction of road damaged by disaster in the Karnali highway.
