By Our Correspondent,Dhangadhi, Dec. 28: The District Police Office, Kailali has arrested five persons involved in the transaction of counterfeited currency, wild animal hides, bones, and protected herbal plants.
The police have held them from different places of Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City. Police have seized fake currency worth Rs. 142,000, 5.530 kilograms of tiger bones and some protected herbal plants.
The arrested persons were identified as Lal Bahadur Saud, 55, Liladhar Mishra, Karan Singh Dhami, Mohan Bohora and Tekendra Dhami. Acting upon a special tip off, police had first detained Lal Bahadur Saud to disclose the illegal transaction of fake currency.
Saud was held from Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City-4. Following the information received from Saud, the remaining currency traders were held from Hotel SS at Rajpur of Dhangadhi Sub Metropolis-13, DSP and Spokesperson for the District Police Office Bedh Prakash Joshi, said. Similarly, police seized additional fake currency, bones of tiger and herbal plants while searching the rented room of Karan Singh Dhami.
