Irrigation projects being implemented in Jogbuda

By Our Correspondent,Dadeldhura, Nov. 30: A canal is being constructed at a cost of Rs. 16 million to irrigate the fields of Jogbuda in the inner plains of ​​Dadeldhura district. 

One canal is being constructed in Parigaun, Parshuram Municipality–5, under the Parigaun Irrigation Scheme at a cost of Rs. 12 million. 

According to the Water Resources and Irrigation Office of Dadeldhura, the 10-kilometre canal will irrigate 300 hectares of fields. 

Roshan Bhatta, technical overseer at the Office, informed that the project would be constructed in two parts, with the upper Parigaun project being constructed at a cost of Rs. 4 million and the lower Parigaun project being constructed at Rs. 8 million.

Similarly, another 500-metre canal is being constructed at Milkhet, Prashuram–6, at a cost of Rs. 4 million. Bhatta said that the canal was expected to irrigate 200 hectares of land.

Meanwhile, another irrigation project is under construction in Sirsha Gaun, Parshuram–3, to irrigate 400 hectares of land.
