Madhesh Province has highest number of parties for election

Kathmandu, Aug 26: The highest number of political parties from Madhes Province will be participating in the upcoming House of Representatives (HoR) and Province Assembly (PA) elections taking place on coming November 20 in a single phase.     

According to the Election Commission, based on the total number of parties registered with the EC, allocation of election symbols and the fixation of a serial number of election symbols, 75 political parties from Madhes Province will be participating in the election followed by 70 from Province 1; 72 from Bagmati, 66 from Gandaki, 68 from Lumbini, 64 from Karnali, and 64 from Sudur Paschim.     

A total of 87 political parties have met the criteria to participate in the poll, it said.  (RSS)
