Online, Kathmandu, Aug. 15: The seat allocation task force of the ruling
alliance has decided to include the result of the 2017 parliament election as a
basis for sharing constituencies among the ruling parties for the upcoming
election slated for November 20.
Talking
to the journalists after the meeting, Minister for Communication and
Information Technology Gyanendra Bahadur Karki said that the meeting dwelt on
criteria for seat allocation among the ruling parties for the polls.
"We
have decided to also include the votes the parties obtained in the 2017
election in addition to recently held local poll while allocating seats,"
he said.
The next meeting of the task force is scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 17.
A meeting of the ruling parties on Sunday had directed the task force to complete the seat allocation at the earliest.
