Arrest warrant issued against Mayor Yadav

Golbazaar (Siraha), April 9: An arrest warrant has been issued against the Mayor of Siraha Municipality, Dr Nabin Kumar Yadav.     

The arrest warrant was issued on the charge of thrashing an office assistant of the municipality. It is stated that Mayor Yadav had verbally abused and beaten office assistant Ram Sharan Yadav, 50, at a time when the office assistant was recording his attendance on Monday morning.     

The office assistant has sustained injuries in different parts of the body and he is undergoing treatment at Biratnagar, said a family source.     

A case of mistreatment was filed against Mayor Dr Yadav and the District Administration Office, Siraha, issued the arrest warrant against Mayor Dr Yadav, said Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Basudev Pathak.     

With the issuance of the arrest warrant, police have started searching for Mayor Dr Yadav. However, another accused of the incident Rohit Mestar, an employee of the municipality, has already been arrested.(RSS)
