By TRN Online, Kathmandu, April 10: President Ramchandra Paudel said that impartial judicial justice would be the true tribute to the Gen Z martyrs.
Addressing the the joint session of both houses of the federal parliament at the multi-purpose meeting hall of Singha Durbar-based Federal Parliament Building on Thursday, he stressed the need for speedy public services so that people feel the presence of government at their doorstep.
The President thanked citizens for their significant role during the recent protests and their aftermath, and emphasized the public’s demand for zero corruption, good governance, employment, and rapid development.
The new government has proceeded by forming the House of Representatives with the majority of young leaders selected by the election. This is the clear message that there is attraction, faith, participation, and leadership development of youths in the federal republic democratic system.
Denizens want a responsible and transparent governance system, effective service delivery, end of corruption at all levels in all arenas, employment opportunities in the nation, end of lack of just judicial delivery, social justice, accelerated economic and social development and peace and stability. The recent Gen Z protest reflects public dissatisfaction with the government and a strong desire for change, especially among the younger generation seeking new opportunities.
For that, parliament needs to form people-centric and public welfare-centric laws.
"I believe that the government will ensure the effective and result-oriented delivery of the existing laws by bearing in mind their essence. Only when the judicial system can deliver promptly, independent, impartial delivery of justice, then only it will be true justice to Gen Z martyrs," He said.
Youth of today are different and they want to learn new things. The traditional employment sector cannot fulfill the aspirations of the new people. Therefore, searching for new employment opportunities and upgrading the schooling system in such a way that the manpower fits the needs of today's market and to create such an environment that even Nepali working abroad want to return and work on homeland is the urgent need of the government and I believe the government will deliver it, according to the President.
President Paudel also underscored the need for Nepal to move forward with balanced policies, mutual respect, and strong diplomatic relations amid global political uncertainties.
