Subedi appointed as foreign affairs advisor to PM

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Aug.5: Arun Subedi has been appointed as a  foreign affairs advisor of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba. Similarly, Dr Madhav Bahadur Karki has been appointed as the climate expert of PM Deuba.

The decision was made at the meeting of the Council of Ministers on Thursday.

Foreign affairs advisor Subedi has completed his master's degree in Science and has self-studied geopolitics. He believes that the foreign relations policy of Nepal needs to be revisited and modified as per the need of time and has expressed his point of view in different programmes, and discourses.

Likewise, the Cabinet meeting made a decision to promote and transfer the secretary of different ministries. Dipak Kalfe has been promoted from the post of undersecretary of the federal government in administration to chief secretary in Lumbini Province and has assumed his responsibility as well. Bindu Bista has received a promotion to a secretary in provincial government from the joint secretary of the Office of the Auditor General.

Dipak Kafle, who was promoted, was the chief of the  Labour Relation and Social Protection Division, also undersecretary of the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social security and Bindu Bista was Assistant Auditor General in the office of the Auditor general.

Kafle, who was promoted, was the head of the labour relations and social security division of the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security and the Deputy Auditor General in the Office of the Controller General.

"Madhu Marasini, secretary to Ministry of Finance has been transferred to Office of Prime Minister and Council of Ministers and as well as secretary, Krishna Hari Puskar has been promoted to Secretary of Ministry of Finance," said Pradeep Yadav, Minister of Forest and Environment.

Chief Secretary of Lumbini Province, Dilli Sharma, has been transferred to the Ministry of Women, Children, and Senior Citizens.
