Lamjung, July 28: The Dumre-Besisahar road section in
Lamjung has been disrupted again due to floods and landslides with incessant rain
since last night.
The landslide occurred at Deurali Danda
in Besisahar municipality-1, Udaipur had obstructed the road section.
According to the Deputy Superintendant
of Police (DSP) at the District Police Office, Krishna Bahadur Karki, the
debris of a landslide with boulders at Riththe Bazaar blocked the road.
Vehicular movement has come to a
halt due to road blockage, he shared. The incessant rain since last night
caused a landslide blocking the road traffic. The road section has witnessed
frequent landslides since last year.
It may be noted that the flood and
landslides that occurred last August had taken away the road section at Deurali
Danda.
Following frequent disruptions on
the road, an alternative route has been operated along the road section through
the forest area. Flood and landslide had also swept away the route and another
alternative road was brought into operation.
The repeated disruptions of the
road have hit hard the passengers traveling through the alternative routes as
well.
Passengers traveling to and from
Besisahar are facing trouble due to traffic disruptions.
