Child singer Pokharel to compete in Thailand

Kathmandu, July 28 : Singing talent Prasun Jung Pokhrel has got an opportunity to compete with singing talents from different countries in an international competition to be held in Thailand next week.

Pokharel, a grader at Bright Future Secondary School in Naikap, Kathmandu, has got the opportunity to present his singing skills by representing Nepal in the international competition Teen Star International to be held in Bangkok, Thailand.

 As the winner of DSA Singing Star -2019, Pokharel got the opportunity to represent Nepal in the international competition.  He is the only contestant to represent Nepal in the competition.

Pokharel,14, who won the singing category in DSA Singing Star, beating 104 students, is going to compete with the participants from 55 countries. Children aged between 11 and 14 years are taking part in the global competition.

Pokharel will present in various stages such as introduction round, talent, and national dress. 

Prasun, who was interested in singing since childhood, used to sing in school programs. He has also recorded a song, Saathi, with singer Tanka Budathoki. 

 In the music video of the song, Pokharel has also done an enticing performance with actor Rajesh Hamal.
