Nepalgunj, July 27: The Qatar Charity has launched a three-month sewing and cutting training for single and extremely poor women of Banke so that they could earn their livelihood.
According to the Charity, the training was started under small and medium enterprise development for 20 single and poor women reeling from financial problems.
The training conducted in Nepalgunj was jointly inaugurated by Haribansh Kirat and Deepak Sarkar, members of Nepal National Commission on behalf of the UNESCO.
Inaugurating the event, Kirat said that the economic problem would be solved in a short time if the participants took the sewing and cutting training and embraced it professionally.
Deepak Sarkar, member of Nepal National Commission on behalf of the UNESCO, Pravez Ali Siddiqui, Chief Patron of Banke UNESCO Club, President Rabi Tuladhar, Executive Director Sajid Ali Siddiqui, Finance Chief Bed Pangali and Programme Officer Ghulam Ghaus were present on the occasion.
Upon completion of the training, each participant will be provided with a set of sewing machine, iron, measuring wooden scale, scissors and ten meter of cloth, said Ghulam Gaus, the programme officer.
