Muddy roads increase travel risks in Myagdi

blog

By Amrit Prasad Poudel, Myagdi, July 21: All the road networks connecting to Beni, the Capital of Myagdi, have been mud-caked due to incessant rainfall which is being bothersome to passengers.

The Beni-Galeshwor section along the Beni-Jomsom road section was cut off owing to the rainfall. This has risked the travel on the road section. The extreme water pressure chopped off the road section in the Beni-Galeshwor section of Jaleshwor, because of which the travellers along the road are compelled to travel at risk.

Rajan Dhakal, Inspector at the District Police Office, Myagdi said that the high water pressure from above and the break-off of the road by the Kaligandaki River have resulted in a one-way crossing road in the section.

He said that even though the road is muddy, transportation is not affected yet.

According to him, the road section in Nauni Bagar, near Bhurung Tatopani, Annapurna Rural Municipality of Beni-Jomsom road section which was obstructed last night was resumed today at 11 AM.

Likewise, the Beni-Maldhunga road section which connects Myagdi and Mustang to the national highway was clogged due to incessant rainfall, however, transportation in the road section was running soothingly.
