Kaski, July 18 : Additional tourism infrastructures have been developed along the trekking route of the world's famous Mardi mountain.
In a bid to provide facilities for
domestic and foreign tourists, tourism infrastructures have been constructed on
the route from Pokhara metropolis-25, Melbot to Astam of Machhapuchhre rural
municipality.
Physical Infrastructure such as
trekking routes, park, and railing were developed under the 'one electoral
constituency, one tourism infrastructure' of the Gandaki province last
year.
A plan was floated last year
to construct the Melbot-Jhijhirka-Astam-Dhital-Dhampus-Mardi mountain trekking route
and park construction.
There is a plan to develop a
trekking route from Melbot to Astam, Dhital, Dhampus, Pritam Deurali, and Dhital
Lwang, and Ghalel Kalimati in a way to connect Mardi mountain.
It may be noted that the Gandaki
province government had allocated a budget of Rs 2.5 million last year.
It was spent for the development of tourism infrastructure and different physical structures, informed coordinator of Melbot-Astam-Dhital-Dhampus-Mardi mountain route construction committee Biswo Adhikari.
He further shared that a 300-meter
slate-placed path, 311-meter railing side wall, four waiting stand,s and ponds
were constructed.
