HA connects Kathmandu with Kuwait

By A Staff Reporter Kathmandu, July 17: Himalaya Airlines (HA)  has made Kuwait its eighth international destination and conducted its first scheduled flight to the country on Friday. The flight took off from Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, Nepal on Friday at 10.32 pm which returned at 9.17 am on Saturday. Following the success of the maiden flight, the airline now plans to operate a weekly flight to Kuwait every Friday, the carrier said in a press release on Saturday.

According to the airlines, it is the first Nepali airliner to connect Kathmandu directly with Kuwait. Himalaya will use its Airbus 320 for the flight. 

Himalaya Airlines is a joint venture between the Tibet Aviation Development and Investment Company Ltd. (TADIC) of China and Yeti World Investment Pvt. Ltd. of Nepal.  It has a fleet of four aircrafts – three Airbus 320-214 and one Airbus 319-115.
