NC leader Pushpa Bhusal files candidacy for HoR Deputy Speaker

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, July 14: Leader of Nepali Congress Pushpa Bhusal (Gautam) has registered her candidacy for the post of deputy speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR). 

The election for the HoR deputy speaker is going to be held tomorrow. Nomination registration for the election is on Thursday.

Chief Whip of the CPN (Maoist Centre), Dev Prasad Gurung, proposed the candidacy of Gautam while Laxmi Kumari Chaudhary of the CPN (Unified Socialist) seconded it.     

Bhusal has registered her candidacy from the side of the ruling coalition. 

The nomination was scheduled for 11 a.m. to 1 pm today, according to the schedule.

After the nomination, the agenda is to publish the list of candidates at 1:30 pm today.

Voting will begin at 3 pm on Friday. The post has been vacant for more than two years.
