Madhes Province Youth Festival ends with manifesto

Janakpurdham, June 30: The first Madhes province Youth Festival 2079 concluded today with a 20-point declaration. The two-day festival in Janakpur concluded with the declaration calling for efforts to ensure employment by providing free higher and technical education targeting the youth of Dalit, marginalized, workers and Muslim communities. 

The declaration also calls for mandatory participation of the youth while formulating the plan and the budget related to them.

It includes issues such as making appropriate arrangements for the overall development of the youth of the province, making policy arrangements for the formation of necessary structures including the provincial youth council, formal education for the youth as well as provision of lifelong learning.

According to Thulo Babu Dahal, Under Secretary at the Ministry of Women, Children, Youth and Sports, 500 youths from all the eight districts of Madhes participated in the festival organized by the Ministry of Women, Children, Youth and Sports. (RSS)
