Peace apostle Gautam Buddha's thoughts still equally relevant-VP Pun

Kathmandu, May 16 (RSS):  Vice-President Nanda Bahadur Pun has extended his best wishes to all Buddhists on the occasion of 2566th birth anniversary of Gautam Buddha, the apostle of global peace.    

In his message of best wishes today, he said Nepal can push the global community to the path of peace and non-violence by adopting Buddha's teachings and thoughts.    

Noting that the relevance of Gautam Buddha's knowledge has further increased in contemporary world, he said the teachings of Gautam Buddha are still highly important for global peace.    

The Vice-President also expressed his happiness for the inauguration of the international Airport at Buddha's birthplace coinciding the occasion.
