Kathmandu, Apr. 24: Veteran artist Hari Prasad Vaidya has been honoured with Lifetime Achievement Award by Newa Gwahali Pucha, a community-based organisation in Kathmandu.
Vaidya, 86, an expert in art, music and vastu, has dedicated his life for the protection and preservation of national identity.
Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration Rajendra Prasad Shrestha honoured Vaidya with Lifetime Achievement award amid an inauguration of Vaidya’s solo art exhibition held at Nepal Art Council on Saturday.
The portraits have been the major attractions of the exhibition. The exhibition will be held from 10 am to 5 pm until April 25.
The exhibition organized by Newa Gwahali Pucha’s chapters in Ward No. 13 and 14 of Kathmandu Metropolitan City displayed the portraits reflecting human life cycle.
