By Raju Lamechane, West-Rukum, May 15: CPN (Maoist Center) candidates have been elected the Ward Chair in four wards while Nepali Congress candidates have been elected the Ward Chair in two wards of the Sanibheri Rural Municipality in West Rukum district.So far, the vote counting of 6 wards has been completed, according to the office of the returning officer. Maoist Center candidates got elected in Wards 1, 2, 3 and 6 while NC candidates got the victory in Wards 4 and 5.
An all-party meeting held to settle the dispute decided to approve the vote if the plus area of the swastika sign is clear on the election symbol.
The ruling five parties had fielded their candidates for the local level forging an electoral alliance, but Budha and Chhantyal had objected to the electoral alliance, fielding themselves as chairperson and vice-chairpersons respectively.
