Maoist Center candidate elected Chair while NC's vice-Chair in Tanjakot RM

By Rajan Rawat, Humla, May 15: CPN (Maoist Center) candidate Lalkesh Jaisi has been elected the Chair while Nepali Congress candidate Surendra Thapa has been elected the vice-Chair of Tanjtakot Rural Municipality in Humla district.

Prem Bahadur Singh, assistant returning officer of the rural municipality, informed that Jaisi and Thapa have been elected.

Chair-elect Jaisi garnered 1,810 votes against his nearest rival, CPN (UML) candidate Ajamal Budha who got 995 votes. Similarly, vice-chair elect Thapa got 1310 votes against his nearest rival, CPN (UML) candidate Rupchandra Aidi who secured 477 votes.

Of the six wards of the RM, the CPN (Maoist Center) has won the ward chairs in Wards 1, 2, 4 and 5 whereas CPN (UML) has come out victorious in ward chair of Ward no. 3.
