Nepal rich in arts, culture: PM Deuba
Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba today said that Nepal is rich and prosperous in arts and culture. “Nepal’s historic antiques, cultural assets, sculpture, music and drama are equally popular in the international arena as at home,” he said that inaugurating the 13th academic assembly of the Nepal Academy of Fine Arts here today.
NC leader Karki enters parliament for third term
Minister for Communications and Information Technology and Nepali Congress (NC) central committee member, Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, has won the election to the Member of the House of Representatives (HoR) from Sunsari-4, making his way to the parliament for the third time.

UML leading, NC second, CPN MC in third position
According to the data provided by the Election Commission (EC), CPN (UML) has grabbed the first spot with 2,747,334 votes while the incumbent ruling party Nepali Congress is in the second position with 2,615,590 votes. CPN (Maoist Centre) is situated in the third position with 1,157,808 votes, while Rashtriya Swatantra Party has scored 1, 112,852 votes.
NEA profit surpasses Rs 8 billion in three months
The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has in the first three months of the current fiscal year, 2022/23 secured a profit of Rs 8.5 billion.

In 337 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the past 24 hours, five people were found infected with SARS-CoV-2, informed the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) in its regular update on Thursday. Re-voting is taking place at 10 voting centres of Dolakha for the election to the House of Representatives and Province Assembly today. According to Chief Returning Officer, Dilli Ratna Shrestha, the voting is taking place from 7:00 am and 35 per cent of votes were cast so far. The election is taking place peacefully, he shared.
