Authorities in New Mexico issued an arrest warrant Friday for director and Emmy Award-winning actor Timothy Busfield to face a child sex abuse charge. An investigator with the Albuquerque Police Department filed a criminal complaint in support of the charge, which says a child reported that Busfield touched him inappropriately. The acts allegedly occurred on the set of "The Cleaning Lady," a TV series Busfield directed and acted in.
Local youths of Gulmi's Ruru area have started constructing a lake at Ridi by diverting the river's flow. Eight local youths are working to construct a permanent lake with their own investment of Rs. 10 million. The youths plan to operate boating services from the upcoming Maghe Sankranti fair. As the lake is being developed by blocking the river stretch from Ridi Bridge to Tinmukhe Bridge, there is a temporary plan to operate two jet boats, each with a capacity of 11 people. Businessman Rabi Lal Pantha, one of the investors in the project, said there are plans to build a permanent lake with an RCC dam next year.

Honey sales in the Himalayan district of Humla have reached Rs. 45 million this year, with a total production of 22,500 kg and already largely sold. According to Chudamani Panta, chief of the Agriculture Development Office in the district, farmers across the district produced 22.5 tonnes of honey in the last fiscal year 2024/25 and earned approximately Rs. 45 million by selling most of it. Honey in Humla is sold at around Rs. 2,000 per kg.
Although 160,000 tonnes of paddy was produced in Banke this year, the Food Management and Trading Company Limited (FMTC), Nepalgunj, purchased only 20,000 quintals from farmers. The company has stopped procurement after purchasing 20,294 quintals, slightly exceeding its fixed quota of 20,000 quintals. According to the Agricultural Knowledge Centre, Banke, a total of 1.6 million quintals of paddy were produced in the district this year.
