Senior journalist Gautam awarded

Birgunj (Parsa), March 25: Senior journalist Ishwar Chandra Gautam has been honoured with the Sudarshanraj Pandey Memorial Journalism Award.

The award includes a certificate of honour along with a sum of Rs 25,000.

Gautam was also the Head of the National News Agency (RSS)'s Narayani Zone Bureau.

Newly elected MP Buddhi Prasad Panta presented the award to journalist Gautam at the award presentation ceremony organised today by the Parsa branch of the Federation of Nepali Journalists.

Om Prakash Khanal, president of the FNJ Parsa branch, said that the award was handed to journalist Gautam at his home as he could not attend the award presentation ceremony due to illness. (RSS)
