Preparation begins for construction of Lower Seti Hydropower Project

Damauli (Tanahu), May 25: The 126-MW-capacity Lower Seti hydropower project is going to be constructed in Tanahu.     

Head of the project, Hari Kumar Shrestha, informed that the project is going to be built with 227 million US dollars, 30 percent equity and 70 percent loan from the Asian Development Bank.     

The dam of the semi-reservoir project is located in Bandipur-6 and Devghat Rural Municipality-3 of Tanahu. Power house, staff accommodation, main tunnel are located in Devghat Rural Municipality-3 and 4.     

Shrestha said that the acquisition process of about 146 ropani land required for the construction of power house and staff accommodation has been started.(RSS)
