Driver dies in Manang truck accident

By Navin Raj Kuinkel, Lamjung, April 14: A person has died in the truck accident at Dharapani, Nason Rural Municipality-3 in Manang district.

The deceased is the driver of the truck, Ram Bahadur Gurung, 37, a permanent resident of Sundar Bazar and currently residing at Simpani Bagaincha in Marsyandi Rural Municipality-9 in Lamjung district.

Landen with cement for Manang Marsyangi hydropower project, the truck, Ba 6 Ka 0461, was heading toward Koto from Beshi Sahar when it collided today morning, according to Gyanendra Bahadur Chhetri, information office and police inspector at the Lamjung district police office.

Further investigation into the accident is underway while the driver's body is being brought to Lamjung district hospital for post mortem.
