Kathmandu, April 14: In a bid to curb black marketing, the Department of Commerce, Supply and Consumers Rights has intensified a market monitoring. It conducted inspection of 54 firms in a day alone.
The Department inspected 54 enterprises on Monday, checking whether they were violating business code.
The firms found violating the code and risking consumers' health were taken actions as per Consumers Rights' Protection Act, 2075. This time, the authority monitored the business outlets at Khasibazar area of Kathmandu metropolis-14.
All firms were directed for improvement in business. The monitoring team comprised consumers' right defenders and concerned stakeholders. (RSS)
