Baitadi, Apr. 7: The answer sheets of SEE are being rapidly checked at the examination centre in Baitadi. As per the instructions of the Office of the Controller of Examinations, answer sheet checking commenced on Thursday evening, the first day of the SEE.
According to Puskar Sharma, Information Officer at the Education Development and Coordination Unit, Baitadi, the answer sheet examination is being conducted at all 26 exam centres in the district.
According to local officials, the concerned superintendent has arranged to assign subject-specific teachers to test the answer sheets.
It is also said that only teachers from different schools will be allowed to check the answer sheets, aiming to maintain impartiality.
Pushpa Raj Joshi, centre head of Gyaneshwor Secondary School in Patan Municipality, said that the results of each subject for each day are being prepared and sent by the evening of the same day.
Similarly, Dhirendra Madai, superintendent of Manilek Secondary School in Dasharathchand Municipality, informed that the examination is being conducted peacefully and in a dignified manner.
Narendra Prasad Awasthi, head of the EDCU, said that there is an arrangement for the checked answer sheets to be sent to the EDCU of the concerned district and from there to the Examination Controller’s Office.
The examination is being conducted through 25 centres in Baitadi for regular and grade-advancement examinees, while the centre has been designated for the technical stream examinees at Bhimdatta Polytechnic School in Patan. This year, 4,551 examinees have participated in the SEE in the district.
There are 3,921 examinees, including 1,963 males and 1,958 females, in the regular category and 630 examinees, including 256 males and 374 females, in the grade-up category.
Students from a total of 142 schools, including 138 community schools and eight institutional schools, are appearing for the SEE exam this year.
