Kathmandu, March 25: Twenty foreign women have been arrested on the charge of operating sex trade at public places bargaining for money with domestic and foreign tourists visiting Thamel.
The police arrested those women from the public road section at Thamel Fire Chowk, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-26. All the women arrested are from Uganda. The police have made them public today.
According to the police, the arrested women caused distress and trouble to foreign and domestic tourists and the general male public by unnecessarily blocking the way and bargaining related to sexually inappropriate behavior.
Spokesperson of Kathmandu District Police Range, Pawan Kumar Bhattarai, said the arrested women are being investigated by the Police Circle, Lainchaur on the offence of committing indecent behaviour.(RSS)
