By Anil Parajuli, Hetauda, March 9: Two people sustained injuries when a tractor met with an accident at Chakari of Manahari Rural Municipality–1 in Makwanpur district.
The accident occurred on Sunday night when a tractor (Na 1 Ta 3802) heading from Hetauda to Chakari overturned after rolling backward while attempting to climb an uphill section of an inner road.
The injured have been identified as the tractor driver, 40-year-old Bikram Ram of Jhangwa, Bindabasini Rural Municipality–3 of Parsa district, and 55-year-old Miramahara Chamar, a passenger on the same tractor and a resident of the same place.
According to Bagmati Province Police spokesperson Nanteeraj Gurung, both injured individuals sustained injuries to their legs and heads. They are currently undergoing treatment at Churehill Hospital in Hetauda–11.
A police team led by Assistant Sub-Inspector Dil Bahadur Tamang from the Padampokhari Police Post reached the accident site
. Police said the overturned tractor remains at the scene and efforts are underway to remove it.
