Civil Hospital services expanded to provinces

blog

By A Staff Reporter, Kathmandu, June 8: Civil servants will now be able to receive health treatment services of the Civil Service Hospital at the provincial level.

The Ministry of Land Management, Co-operatives, Federal Affairs and General Administration is planning to provide health services to employees from provincial hospitals in accordance with the policy of expanding the services of the Civil Service Hospital in Kathmandu to the provincial level.

Minister for Land Management, Co-operatives, Federal Affairs and General Administration Pratibha Rawal said the initiative aims to provide easier access to healthcare services for civil servants, retired civil servants, and their dependent family members living and working outside the Kathmandu Valley.

According to the ministry, agreements have begun with provincial hospitals to ensure that civil servants, retired civil servants, and their dependents receive quality healthcare services in an accessible, affordable, and convenient manner.

In the first phase, civil servants will be able to receive the same health services, discounts, and concessions available at the Civil Service Hospital in Kathmandu from Narayani Hospital in Birgunj, Parsa, for Madhes Province, and Bharatpur Hospital in Chitwan for Bagmati Province.

The services will come into operation on Monday following the signing of agreements between the ministry and the two hospitals on Sunday.

To receive the services, civil servants and retired civil servants must carry the official identity card issued by the Civil Service Hospital.

The ministry has also completed the listing of service-provider hospitals in coordination with the Ministry of Health and Food Safety for the remaining provinces.

Necessary preparations are underway, and similar healthcare services, including discounts and concessions currently provided by the Civil Service Hospital, will soon be available to civil servants across all provinces, the ministry said.
