Fire at Daura Thakali Restaurant brought under control

Patan (Lalitpur), March 3: Authorities have brought under control the fire that erupted at Daura Thakali Restaurant in Kupandol, Lalitpur on Tuesday afternoon.     

Police Chief at Lalitpur Metropolitan City, Sitaram Hachhethu, informed that the incident took place around 3:45 pm today. It was caused by an electrical short circuit. The police quickly mobilized firefighting workforce and logistics to extinguish the flames. "We responded immediately and were able to bring the fire at Daura Thakali under control," he added.     

Hachhethu further said they were still collecting information on damage in the fire. The Daura Thakali Restaurant is placed at 8th floor of a building.     

Fortunately, no human casualty has been reported in the blaze. (RSS)
