Province election security inspects polling stations

Dodhara Chandani (Kanchanpur), March 3: The Sudurpaschim Province Election Security Committee today inspected various polling stations located in and around Gaddachawki Check Point of Kanchanpur and Dodhara Chandani. These areas border India.     

A team comprising Principal Secretary of Sudurpaschim Province, Baikuntha Prasad Aryal, Province Police Chief Om Bahadur Rana, Officiating Chief of the Armed Police Force Digvijay Singh, along with chiefs of other security agencies in the province visited the polling stations and vicinity, taking stock of the overall arrangements as part of election security.     

The local administration has already sealed the border points since last Monday midnight in view of the election to the House of Representatives scheduled for March 5.     

Movements across the borders have been restricted except for essential services.(RSS)
