Associations of university teachers call upon Govt for peaceful poll environment

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Feb 27: Different associations of the university teachers have appealed to the government and the election commission to ensure that the HoR election is held in a free, peaceful, impartial and fair environment.

They have also called upon the political parties and the candidates to present in a decent and restrained manner so as to avoid any animosity among the competitors.

They said that the gravity of the security situation was exemplified by the way the army is being mobilized for the election to be held on March 5.

The associations issuing the statement on Thursday are Nepal University Teachers' Association, Democratic Professors' Association, Nepal, Nepal University Progressive Teachers' Association, National University Teachers' Association of Nepal, and United Progressive University Teachers' Association.
