By Shashidhar Parajuli, Biratnagar, Feb.26: The District Administration Office, Morang,  has announced that it will suspend citizenship distribution services for two days starting Thursday.

According to the notice from the office, the citizenship distribution service will remain closed on February 26 and 27 due to staff deployment for training related to the upcoming House of Representatives Election, 2026.

The office said that from now on, all services provided by the New Citizenship Section and the Citizenship Duplicate (Copy) Section will remain suspended.

The decision was made because employees assigned to election duties are required to undergo mandatory training.

In a notice endorsed by Assistant Chief District Officer Saroj Koirala, it said that the services of the New Citizenship Section and the Citizenship Duplicate Section would remain closed due to the mandatory election training.

The administration has also apologized for any inconvenience caused to service seekers during the closure. Citizenship-related services will resume from February 28, 2026.
