Woman killed another injured as tree crashes into house

Mahendranagar, Feb 26: A woman has died when a falling tree crashed into a make-shift house at Bedkot Municipality in Kanchanpur District. 

Deputy Superintendent of Police Khadka Khatri of the District Police Office Kanchanpur said that 50-year-old Sharada Devi Mahat from Pelital, Ward 3, Bedkot Municipality died after a tree fell on her at home. Following the incident, a team led by Police Inspector Basu Awasthi was dispatched to the incident site from the District Police Office this morning.

Similarly, the police have reported that 40-year-old Sita Mehta, who resided in the same house, has been injured. She is receiving treatment at Mahakali Provincial Hospital in Mahendranagar. (RSS)
