Parties set agenda for March 5 elections

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Feb.20: Three key parties—Nepali Congress (NC), CPN-UML and the Rastriya Swatanttra Party (RSP) –have made their election manifestoes public just a fortnight before the March 5 elections. 

While the UML unveiled its manifesto in Kathmandu and RSP in Surkhet on Thursday, the NC made it public in Janakpur on Wednesday. 

The CPN-UML has outlined 11 immediate tasks, five fundamental guarantees and 25 pillars of prosperity as its key policy priorities in its manifesto, while the RSP has prioritized digital transformation. 

The Nepali Congress elaborated its commitment paper, made public in Janakpur on Wednesday, by organising a question-and-answer session in Kathmandu on Thursday. NC has focused on corruption control in its manifesto.
