By Sher Bahadur Sarki,Bajura, Feb. 20: Heavy hailstorm fell in Bajura on Thursday afternoon, destroying winter crops across several areas of Triveni Municipality. The hailstorm lasted for about an hour, from 3 pm to 4 pm.

Local Gorakh Aidi of Triveni-7 said thick hail fell from Malakot Dhamibada to Kosedi and Jumli Danda in Toli.

“Continuous hail for nearly an hour destroyed wheat crops and vegetables, including potatoes, onions and tomatoes,” he said. Farmers, who had worked hard to cultivate winter crops, are now deeply worried about how they will manage until the monsoon season after their crops were completely damaged by the hailstorm, Aidi added.
