High level commission to probe all public position holders’ property

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Feb 10: Nepali Communist Party (NCP) today made public its election commitment paper highlighting formation of high level probe commission on all public position holders and investigate corruption cases.

Such a commission will have a term of a year to investigate into the cases and individuals.

An all powerful Lokpal will be formed by integrating existing commission for investigation of abuse of authority (CIAA), national vigilance center and department of money laundering investigation to investigate and punish the corrupt and thus curb corruption.

Corruption control will be the first point in the party’s basic values, thought, policy and programme, said NCP coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ making public the election manifesto at the party central office, Paris Danda.

The party will implement E-Governance Blueprint to ensure good governance in public service delivery, which will make the governance system faceless, paperless and cashless.

A provision of Time Card will be enacted to ensure pubic service delivery in time and inform the service recipient about the possible time to complete their work.

With regard to economy, the NCP has pledged to add 150,000 jobs every year while making economic growth 10 per cent per year within five years.

NCP has targeted to increase the electricity generation to 15,000MW within five years.

“We will shift economy from consumption and import dependent one to production and export focused one, or self-reliant economy” said Prachanda.

The upcoming decade will be named as “agriculture investment decade.”

All farmer will have identity cards.

Some 20 cities will be turned into smart cities 100 villages will be made as smart villages by ensuring necessary facilities, read the NCP election manifesto.

Unemployment insurance scheme is also something new that the NCP has included in the commitment paper.
