Kathmandu, Feb 8: The Nepal Police nabbed Dr Girwan Raj Timilsina of Lazimpat-based Shreedhi Hospital in Kathmandu for his alleged involvement in the fake rescue of foreign tourists from trekking and expedition.
A team of the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police held Dr Timilsina on Sunday for his alleged involvement in the fake rescue of foreigners from trekking and expedition to collect the insurance amount.
Spokesperson of CIB and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shiva Kumar Shrestha shared that Dr Timilsina was held for preparing fake documents of rescue in connivance with Mountain Rescue Services, Everest Experiences and Assistance and Nepal Charter Services to secure the insurance amount.
The CIB has already arrested six individuals from three companies in this issue.
SSP Shrestha stated that further investigations on fake documents and others will be initiated against Dr Timilsina.(RSS)
