By Jaya Man Buda Magar, Rukum (East), Feb 2:There is a rush of people to enjoy the snowfall at Yirneta(Patihalne)
bordering Baglung and Rukum (East).
There is a snowfall dip up to three feet following the incessant
snowfall for the last two days, and at Yirneta is bustling with people visiting
to enjoy the snowfall.
The internal tourists visit daily from as far as Rolpa, Rukum (East), Dang, Pyuthan, Butwal, along with Rukum (East) and Baglung to the snowed Yirneta, which is along the Mid Hill Highway.

According to the hotelier Kamal Buda, there has been a queue of people
visiting the area since Wednesday.
He said that the road accessibility has made it easy to
travel to Yirneta from nearby districts.
"Around 50 to 200 people come to watch and enjoy the snowfall daily. They click and upload the moments in social networking sites," He said.

Similarly, Lal Bahadur Bista of Chunbang, Rukumpurba Bhume Rural Municipality-9, said that due to climate change, snow is currently falling only in the higher elevations, which has increased the importance of playing and watching snow.
Bista said, "In previous years, snow used to fall all
the way to the village. For the past 7-8 years, snow has only fallen in areas
much higher than the village."
Bista said that this would be strange for a district that does not receive snowfall, but due to the lack of snowfall in recent years, even the residents of the Himalayan district find it strange.
