Bangladesh clinches 90-run win against Scotland

Kirtipur (Kathmandu), Jan 30: Bangladesh defeated Scotland by a wide margin of 90 runs in the Super Six stage match of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup Global Qualifier held at Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground today.

Bangladesh, which had already qualified for the Women's World Cup, scored a record 191 runs in today's match of the qualifying tournament.

Captain Nigar Sultana scored 56 runs, while Shobhana Mostari added 47 and Juariya Fardos added 22 runs for Bangladesh.

In pursuit of a challenging target, Scotland managed to score only 101 runs for the loss of nine wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Bangladesh's Marufa Akhter took three wickets and Sorna Akhter took two wickets to easily dismiss Scotland. (RSS)
