Documentary on late Ujwal Thapa to be released today

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Jan. 9: Minister for Communication and Information Technology Jagdish Kharel has said that the documentary ‘Dimag Ghochne Manchhe’, on late Ujwal Thapa, the founder of Bibeksheel Nepali Party, pierces not only the mind but also the heart.

 After watching the special screening organised by the Ujwal Thapa Foundation at QFX, Labim Mall, Lalitpur, Minister Kharel said that the life story of the late Thapa who pioneered the path of alternative politics will serve as an inspiration to all.

He said, “The documentary introduces us even more closely to the late Thapa, who, loved Nepal and the Nepali people deeply, who understood and made others understand that the country stood above his own life and family.”

He further added that the path shown by Thapa through entrepreneurship, social activism, and alternative politics remains relevant today.

 Minister Kharel also met the late Thapa’s parents and his wife, Erika Adhikari, and said that the time has come for the Nepali people to truly understand Thapa’s feelings and dedication toward the nation.
