One person killed in shooting, five arrested with firearms

Kakrevihar (Surkhet), Jan 1: Jajarkot police have arrested five individuals with firearms. According to Sudhikumar Khadka, Information Officer at the District Police Office, six people, including 36-year-old Prachanda Dev Singh from Barekot-8, had gone hunting on the morning of 28 of December at 9:00 AM, and they were arrested after Prachanda Dev's death. 

During the investigation, homemade firearms and weapons were found in a pit near the incident site, leading to the arrest of 45-year-old Indra Bahadur Singh, 54-year-old Mim Bahadur Singh, 24-year-old Rajiv Shahi, 44-year-old Janak Karki, and 19-year-old Lal Bahadur Singh from Barekot Rural Municipality-8. 

Three homemade firearms, two iron knives, 135.18 grams of gunpowder, and 21 metal pieces used in firearms were seized from the suspects.(RSS)
